Kelley Swindall Brings Sass and Optimism with her Brand of Outlaw Country
By Tina Bolt
Georgia native, Kelley Swindall is keeping herself busy in her Manhattan apartment during the New York City lockdown. Her full album, You Can Call Me Darlin’ If You Want, is due for release on Velvet Elk Records this August. Swindall recently released her single and video for “California” where she shows off her acting skills, playing a wild lineup of characters on a cross country adventure. Additionally, the bonus track on the album, titled, “Refuse To Be Blue” is a timely fit during this pandemic. On the album, she showcases her ability to seamlessly blend rugged outlaw country with a throwback sound of roots, blues, and jazz.
